Desmond's

Released in full this year after the recording in the early 90s, following use in a butter advert
You cannot go wrong with ITV's F1 coverage. This was always my favourite one

Surprising that has taken so long to actually be released as a single, it'll be the best part of 33 years since Norman Beaton recorded that. Desmonds ran from 1989-1994, ending only because Beaton died (heart attack, he was only 60). It was later spun off into Porkpie (named after one of the characters on the show), which wasn't as successful. Don't think its TV theme is online.

The butter advert first appeared in 2019, or at least was added to YouTube in 2019 (see ID 5PmTHtCutn8).

Talking about ITV F1, I really liked their last theme used in 2008. The Sony sponsorship and Def Leppard accompanied this quite nicely.

Same- never been into F1 but always liked this theme tune when it came on.
To be fair the themes for ITV F1 weren't all bad. I remember there was a major outcry when ITV won the rights and then announced they weren't going to use the "traditional" theme for it that the BBC had used for the previous 20 years - The Chain. The BBC made a big deal out of bringing it back though when they won the rights back again.

It's all about 21.08 in that clip - smooth jazz to introduce murderer at large!
Countryfile has to be up there as one of my faves to be honest.

Why must modern theme tunes be completely ruined by unnecessary SFX or voice overs? Can't the music just be left to speak for itself? :x
A couple of my favourites.

I watched the series in full on Netflix this year and it’s very well written. The theme song gets a re-mix from the fifth series with some new instruments added and new visuals added for the title sequence.

Relatively groundbreaking at the time was Desmond's, apparently the first British sitcom featuring black people in the workplace. Not the first sitcom with a predominately black cast of course. Somebody tried to add to Wiki that it was inspired by The Cosby Show.
This was a Saturday night warm up when I was growing up in the 90’s
