True if we’re talking about presenters but the editor of Breakfast, arguably a flagship BBC News role in another sense, was poached from ITV and was previously at Granada, and this is (I think) the first change in personnel since he arrived. 12 months ago I’d have said it would have been a simple reshuffle of existing presenters as had happened in most cases previously. I don’t think they’ll necessarily go radical, but I think they’ll at least explore what’s out there.

I'm not sure about Dan and Naga, either. Wasn't it the Dan and Naga pairing one week back in 2019 that led to Dan eliciting Naga's comments about Trump and racism - personally, I totally agreed with her, and admired what she said, but the furore and subsequent BBC volte-face that led to was not the BBC's finest moment.
Equally, however, I could see Richard Frediani (editor) playing it safe and just moving Naga over to Monday - Wednesday, with Nina Warhurst replacing Naga Thursday - Saturday.

It says the role is generally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Does that mean Naga is staying on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or would they advertise it for Louise's days and if Naga was selected then advertise again for Naga's current days?

There’s not a chance of Ranvir. The amount of opportunities she currently has at ITV is endless. She does all sorts for them. BBC Breakfast needs a certain type of person to host the show. Ranvir is far too ITV for the BBC now. As for the advertisement, I think it’s just protocol to advertise the vacancy. Even if they already do have someone in mind or already in place. Definitely not going to be Sally. For me it’s Nina Warhurst all day long.
Going to say an outlandish take and mention I think Gillian Joseph would be great - even if very unlikely to happen! Just one of those presenters you feel is very underused in their current state...
Time will tell - I suspect it'll be someone not only within the BBC but also within the Breakfast team too, but I do think bringing in an outsider is actually probably what the show needs and someone like Gillian who has been a familar face on Sky for so long, but generally in a secondary role, is an ideal candidate in terms of bringing in a new face who you know will be able to do the job without question.
As for Ranvir though - was she still with North West Tonight when they moved to Media City or had she left by then? It would say alot if she did return that after nearly a decade at ITV it was the same studio set she'd left.

Yes she was there when NWT moved to Media City.
