It has just been announced that Christine Talbot is leaving Calendar at the end of June (30th June).

That's a surprise, Christine has been there a very long time. With Gaynor gone they will surely need a new face? Unless Duncan is going alone?
Blimey I wasn’t expecting that. Christine has been hosting Calendar for 20 years and has been on Yorkshire TV for almost 30 years, and coming so soon after John and Gaynor left (and so soon after Harry left Look North as well)
Presumably she also took redundancy?

I imagine so. ITV opened voluntary redundancy for regions staff didn't they? Might not be the last one to go for that.

Although I’d be fairly surprised that a redundancy scheme has allowed 3 of the 4 main presenters to leave the programme
That is a shock. Always felt she was very underrated on Calendar.
Christine said at the end of the South edition tonight that Duncan presented the show tonight specially for the announcement when he’s supposed to be on Annual Leave currently.
A shame to see the last true YTV face leave Calendar, especially so soon after Gaynor and John. Christine and Duncan’s 18 year partnership is one of the longest ITV regional partnerships after Gaynor and John which ended in March and Granada Reports’s Lucy and Tony which was tragically cut short last year.
I guess individually it's Bob Warman and Fred Dinegage who would be the longest serving regional newsreaders on ITV at least?
A bit of a surprise. I remember her starting at Calendar in the early 90’s before moving over to ‘Tonight’.
Christine was on BBC North West Tonight before moving to Calendar. Wishing her all the best. It is a surprise.
That was a surprise didn’t expect that, no true YTV presenters left now.
