KNHL/KGMB - Honolulu, Hawai'i
The 2 channel network duopoly finally launched the best news set in the Pacific region. Finally dumping their old fashioned dark and dated studio. Hawai'i News Now will soon debut a set that reflects the colours of the island state. The looks is formulaic in some aspects. One of the coolest features is the wood elements that hearkens back to the old fashion surfboards. Great new look for the a statewide news station with a lead anchor having probably the coolest name in the US - Ke'ahi Tucker. 8-)

Find most US news sets rather uninspiring. Some are better than others, but most feels like sets from the 90s with better screens.
That's a major improvement for Hawaii News Now. The old set was looking dated.

Well then you might want to avoid this thread. LOL

WOIO (CBS Cleveland) has one of the most tasteful set debuts in recent memory - a much better implementation of video windows than ITV for sure. Wouldn't look out of place in Austria or Denmark, save for the obnoxious 19 logo.

That's... not bad, yes certainly looks more European, maybe it's the use of red rather than blue?

I quite like that. At first glance I thought it was rebrand in Belgium or something (RTBF "Le 19h" maybe)

It really has a European feel to it.

I do agree, I much prefer sets where it's not just "desk with jpeg of city in background".

That is nice, it's simple without being boring, and it feels classy.
One of my favorite sets is KWGN TV Denver's
http:// https://www.newscaststudio.com/2...n-new-set/ the backgrounds change to show different elements of the state and it fits the local area very well.

What a improvement, just like Hawaii News Now!
