As the description suggests, a new BBC Two ident appeared before Blue Peter this morning during the CBBC block.
Looks rather lovely and it seems to be flower petals forming the curve. Would work great with Springwatch or gardening programmes considering the season we're in now.

Very nice but an odd time to debut it. I don't think it is particularly sombre so don't think they are debuting it for that reason.

It looks nice but I still can't stand the "Channel of the Year" tagline plastered along the top.

I couldn't see where else to post this but just watching the displaced Saturday Kitchen on BBC Two now - I don't recall it having the 'Live' bug in the top right hand corner before.

Odd day to debut it, in view of the circumstances.

It's funny how they're displaying this new iPlayer logo and promoting it in most places, except that CBBC promo.

This is an old re-used promo from summer 2020. I think I remember seeing the new logo on more recent promos.

I missed how it feels to celebrate a new ident for once. Stunning work as usual!

Really like that. The colour palette is gorgeous, very spring-like, warm and cheery. The soundtrack is nice – an airy quality – and I love the motion design. Each petal feels very natural in how it moves, but the speed of each 'curve' of petals adds proper life to it.

Great stuff.

Makes you wonder how BBC Two can get it so right with every new ident released, yet BBC One so disastrously wrong.

Another very nice looking ident for BBC Two, but I agree that the Channel of the Year text does detract from the design somewhat.

Also, I thought I'd read previously on TVF that the Subtitles text had been dropped from idents in recent years? Am I misremembering? I noted it was on the Family idents yesterday but thought it was just there to emphasise the special coverage/programmes were subtitled.

Not a fan of doing that all the time but understandable today perhaps when people might think it was a repeat due to the news coverage. Saturday Kitchen seems almost as safe as the shipping forecast in the schedules.
