A couple of things I wanted to mention...
Firstly The Great Home Transformation is their latest property series next year, noteably made by BBC Studios. Is this the first series the BBC have made for C4?

Also see that having only aired The Big Fat Quiz of the Year over Christmas that a new Big Fat Quiz of Everything ends up on Sunday. Wondering if it was recorded at the same time or if they waited to do it with an audience, or perhaps covid issues within the cast or crew forced it's postponement. Seems a random night to air it though - would make more sense over Easter or on a Bank Holiday weekend really.
Finally Derry Girls has been advertised heavily so must be due soon. We thought it might end up on Fridays with The Last Leg finishing when discussing it on Twitter but that's been given to yet another trashy reality show dressed up as a social experiment, which recent history shows puts off both fans of trashy reality shows and genuine social experiments. They've also begun promoting Hullraisers, with Lucy Beaumont, so I'm guessing they'll pair them up another night.

Was about to ask about Taskmaster too but they've just aired an ad saying it's back on the 14th April. What happened to the Champion of Champions edition though? Would be a bit odd to air it 2-3 series later.
I've noticed Channel 4 seem to be repeating the same batch of Simpsons episodes on weekend mornings. Take Beyond Blunderdome from Season 11, this was shown last Sunday afternoon around 2.30pm and it was shown again this morning 23rd April at 07.30am.
Perhaps the beginning of a bit of succession planning on Grand Designs with Kevin getting a co-host tonight in Natasha Huq. Very much in a secondary role with Kevin narrating and joining Natasha for the reveal but she's not too bad at all.
Great House Giveaway has also added a third presenter with the host of the S4C episodes Carys Davies set to host some of the C4 eps (presumably the Welsh ones) as well, though so far in the first week of the new series Simon has fronted them all.
C4 are promoting Tuesdays episode of Derry Girls as the "series finale", then the Wednesday hour-long episode as a "special episode", which is a bit odd.
Indeed the scheduling seems a bit odd anyhow with the extra episode only announced midway through the series. It would probably have made more sense to hold back the hour-long special to air either at Christmas, or next Easter as part of the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.
That is odd, why not just advertise Wednesday's as a double length series finale instead?
Tonight's episode not carrying the sponsorship into each part either, but is carrying it into the break.

They meant into the show. They do play when going into a break.
Brilliant finale though. Will be much missed.
I've noticed over the past few months a delay, in terms of days, in subtitles being made available on the desktop version of All4 even though subtitles were available when the shows were being broadcast on TV.
It happens with the films they show on Saturday nights, Tuesday and Wednesday's episodes of Derry Girls still have neither subtitles or audio description as of the time of writing this post and it's a problem even when they release entire boxsets of shows pre-transmission (for example, the comedy "Spreadsheet" that launched last night)
It's not a problem I've encountered with any of the other terrestrial on-demand services.

Derry Girls will join The Inbetweeners and Father Ted of being used as constant filler on either C4, E4 or More4 for years to come.
Would Derry Girls get commissioned by the BBC or a privatised Channel 4? I doubt it. This is why C4 needs to stay as it is, regardless of the stodge like Gogglebox, Made in Chelsea and the other downmarket formats they also show to commission content like this.
What annoys me about the channel 4 situation is that Nadine dorries who doesn't even know how channel 4 is funded and tinks channel 5 was publicly owned is telling people who work in tv and know what they're talking about that they are wrong to think privatisation is a bad idea and she is right

I think this should go in the Mass Media thread for All 4 as there have been reports about no subtitles there as well.
